I Encountered a Sighting of Prototype Fredbear
For those confused about the title and this being a first random post, don’t worry; I will explain this in a minute. Allow me to start my proper introduction first.
Hello everyone! It’s me, Eddie. I’m the cousin of Toby (who posted here before). I usually hunt in the forest nearby my town, somewhere next to an abandoned chuck-e-cheese building that nobody and the government care about.
Basically, according to a blog that my cousin posted here, there’s a fangame of some horror game online called “Five Nights at Prototype Fredbears.” He messaged me about it, and the creator of that game wasn’t even aware of this occurrence that happened in the post; it wasn’t even in the game either. I also recall from the post that Toby had a vivid nightmare about a yellow bear named “Prototype Fredbear” killing his poor little cat, but luckily, he was fine.
But judging by this being a nightmare, it can’t be real, right? Well, I will tell you about my encounter with this creature (which can’t possibly be real) too. If my cousin saw this figure, I would need to believe it when I saw it. This has to be a video game character, right? Right?
I got prepared for this entity to arrive at my house. I grabbed my shotgun (which I use for hunting and self-defense), turned on my backyard camera, and hid in my house for safety. It should be noted that I live alone, and I have no pets or anything to keep me company. I had my camera set to record everything, and sadly, this camera was cheap.
I mean, you would think that’s a good thing, but it makes things appear in black and white, which is not what I expected, but it’ll work.
While I was waiting for this figure to appear, I was wondering if there’s a point in snapping a picture of this creature as evidence. I think Toby and I are the only ones who can see it.
Though an unsettling feeling of being watched would overcome me at this moment, and then there was something running outside, I immediately took a picture of whatever was on the camera, and when the picture came out, there was something I couldn’t explain.
It looked normal, but you see, on the left of the photo, you’ll see a figure. I zoomed in and snapped a picture of it on my phone to make it easier to notice, but in the photo, it looked ghostly. It was a humanoid creature that looked like a bear from my perspective. You could see the ears on top, but it had features as an animatronic; you could see an endoskeleton (which wasn’t an actual skeleton) underneath. It had a bowtie and hat, and the creature was literally looking straight into the camera.
It was Prototype Fredbear...
The creature that Toby was talking about in his post, looking at the photo, quickly grabbed my shotgun and ran straight outside. The creature was still out there, and it noticed me; it was just sitting there eating a little opossum.
The bear was indeed yellow, and it was angry at me for disturbing it, I guess. It ran straight towards me, and it jumped right on top of me! I started kicking and struggling, but the creature started growling at me.
It spoke.
“How dare you disturb my breakfast? It seems like you will be my next breakfast, maybe for lunch too with my friends.”
The voice started deep and angry, also distorted, and he continued to speak.
“You know, things would’ve been different if you stayed in your house and not came here to disturb me–”
I started grabbing at the bear’s jaw, using as much force as I could, and as it slowly started to disconnect, blood started coming out, which I didn’t know was possible for an animatronic-like creature. It started screaming, and I also tried avoiding its sharp teeth.
I finally tore off the jaw, and blood started gushing out and on to my face, including the bear’s bowtie on his neck. Holding his jaw, I dropped it, and the bear was looking angry at me.
I started laughing at it, laughing like an insane person would, and I started rubbing my eyes and making sure I was just going insane about what just happened. It was real, and the bear turned its head around at a 360-degree angle towards me, and something that sounded like human bones cracking was audible. It slowly walked towards me, and I started shooting at it.
Blood, and I mean, so much blood, started coming out of the creature; this is when the creature’s jaw slowly started coming back, and it went attached. I looked down, shocked, but the original jaw that came off was still lying on the ground. While distracted, the creature ran straight forward at me, but luckily, I noticed, and judging by how strong I was, I pushed it into the outdoor pool.
The creature was struggling to get out of the pool, and I laughed as the pathetic bear suffered until it finally got out of the pool, completely wet. It made the water red from all of the blood on its body. I ran away, starting to shoot it while it was chasing me.
It was screaming; obviously, it was feeling the pain, but the wounds weren’t showing until my shotgun eventually ran out of bullets.
I had to drop my shotgun and run to the garage; the bear was still chasing me. I grabbed my keys, hands shaking, until my hands started to cooperate and finally unlock the car. The bear was behind me, and it grabbed me until the claws dug into my shirt and the skin underneath my sleeves.
I kicked the bear away and got into my car.
I started it up and drove out of my garage. The bear got down and started crawling on all fours. I have to leave this neighborhood, but this was my chance.
I had the idea of killing the creature, so I went as far as I could to kill the bear. The bear was behind my car, so I backed my car in with the force I could give, and I finally hit the bear as I heard a slight bump. I stepped out of my car, and I looked at the damage.
The bear was losing blood, but it was trying to get the wheel off of his body; it was clearly crushing him, and it was now screaming loudly.
As I went to my house and closed the door, I heard a creepy music box coming from my room. It sounded like the Swedish rhapsody number station, which sent chills down my spine. At first, I hesitated, but something told me to go to my room and check it out.
As I slowly went into my room, the music got louder and louder, and standing there in the middle of the room was something I couldn’t explain. I looked down; there was a big pentagram, which I don’t remember seeing before.
But standing on top of the pentagram was a shadowy bear, but it wasn’t Shadow Fredbear; it was something else. It looked like the creature had a white bowtie and hat.
I was repeating no over and over, and I thought I was just having a nightmare, but judging by the fact I knew better, I didn’t approach it. I just closed the door and walked away, but I felt myself being dragged back to the door, and the bear turned its face at me; the mouth and eyes were completely white and bright.
“So... you killed him?”
The shadow said, staring at me. Though the shadow seemed a bit calm about this, I don’t know if I should trust him. He spoke again.
“I’ve been watching everything, and I’m glad you killed the bear. You may also be confused by the fact that I haven’t killed you yet.”
I asked the shadow a question about more entities I had to worry about, and he said that there were, but they didn’t feel like attacking. The conversation was surprisingly short. The shadow disappeared, and the pentagram left a note behind.
The note reads:
“Remember Eddie, nobody is here to save you, not even God, but if you want to see God, we need to sacrifice you. Please, our demons and the devil will let you rest, and to make the process quicker, you can praise me, the devil, and if you praise me, I order you to jump from the balcony and end it all.
From: Shadow Kennedy”
I didn’t jump from my balcony or praise the devil, though. I heard my front door creak, and I heard footsteps coming; they sounded like they were getting close to my room. I looked at my computer, and it was off, but that music box was still playing.
I saw eyes coming from the hallway, and it was Prototype Fredbear, looking angrier than before. He started twitching, and he ran straightforward, and I slammed the door in his face, locking it shut.
I heard his footsteps getting away from the door.
I opened the door, but I noticed the doorknob was about to fall off. The bear was standing there in the hall, and I had nothing to protect myself with. This was it... For those who are still reading this, I guess this is my final goodbye, and as I say this, the bear is getting close.
If this somehow gets posted online, someone else found it, and this is in my journal, and one thing I apologize for is the fact I lived alone. I never lived alone. I have a brother, you see, and his name is Julius. I haven’t seen him in ages.
Well, anyway.. This is it; the bear is now inside my room, and I’m huddled on my bed, hugging my knees. I can’t sneak under him or anything. It’s in my sight.
Goodbye, best wishes...

My Cats Has Gone Missing….
Hello tumblr, I am a new user here. Now, normally, I wouldn't believe in the paranormal, but this specific game was created by JosephTheSnail, a semi-popular creator on the internet. I hope he sees this post, as I know he has a Tumblr account under the name JosephTheSnailShow. If anyone finds this post, send it to him. No, I didn't make this post in order to get attention from him so I could get this post added to the Spiral Nightmares wiki. Yes, I am familiar with that wiki, and I read most of the stories there, like Sammy the Cat and Burnt Luigi, which were written by him.
This post is about a Five Nights at Freddy's fangame that I feel needs attention. Now that I know my experience, as read in this post, I will not let you play it, as you will be scared of your system breaking and your loved ones and pets will be missing. If that's the case, then as long as you download the games on Gamejolt and Itch.io, you won't experience the messed-up events I had to witness.
So, with that being said, I wrote this post as I read a popular account written by TobyBlogger, which encouraged me to write this one as I had a familiar experience that he had. Here is my story:
In the dim glow of my computer screen, I stumbled upon a forgotten relic of gaming history: Five Nights at Prototype Fredbear's. Intrigued by its nostalgic charm, I eagerly downloaded the game, heedless of the warnings that accompanied it.
As I launched the game, a sense of unease settled over me like a heavy shroud. The menu screen flickered to life, revealing the haunting visage of Prototype Fredbear, his empty eyes boring into my soul. Ignoring the chill that ran down my spine, I dove headfirst into the nightmare.
From the moment I entered the abandoned restaurant, I knew something was amiss. Doors swung open and closed of their own accord, and the animatronics moved with an unsettling fluidity. But it was the disappearance of my cats that truly unnerved me.
One by one, my beloved pets vanished without a trace, leaving behind only a lingering sense of dread. Desperate to find them, I scoured every inch of the game, but they remained elusive, as if swallowed by the darkness itself.
Then, just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I stumbled upon their mutilated bodies hidden within the game's code. Their once-familiar faces were twisted into grotesque parodies of their former selves, their eyes empty and lifeless.
Tumblr media
Terrified and alone, I realized the true nature of the curse that plagued the game. It was not merely a game but a portal to a realm of unspeakable horror, where reality and nightmare converged in a twisted dance of death.
As I fled from the cursed game, vowing never to return, the echoes of my lost companions haunted my every step, a constant reminder of the darkness that lurked within.
To this day, the memory of my haunting experience serves as a grim warning to those who dare to venture where others fear to tread. For in the darkest corners of the digital world, there are secrets best left undisturbed, lest they awaken forces beyond mortal comprehension.
But for those who have tasted the bitter fruit of curiosity, the scars of their ordeal serve as a constant reminder that some nightmares never truly end.

Waiting for new FNaPF content? Well, remember our fellow photo-negative prototype fredbear fellow who got small screentime in the DLC? Well, I would like to introduce the spin-off series called "FNaPF: Urban Legends."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Five Nights at Prototype Fredbear's—Urban Legends is a spin-off series (which is canon to the main lore; it will help you figure out things); it is pretty much a series of "creepypastas" set in the main story, from Shadow Fredbear's Insanity to Breaking and Entering.
I will write these stories to tide you all over until the main games come out, kind of like Fazbears Frights. Right now, I would like to share with you the first entry, Breaking and Entering.
I will make more if you guys enjoy them; though, keep in mind that you can read them on the Spiral Nightmares wiki too.
Breaking and Entering is inspired by Abandoned by Disney by @slimebeast.
Curse of a haunted FNaF Fangame.
In the annals of gaming history, there exists a chilling tale that transcends the digital realm and delves into the realm of the supernatural. It is the legend of the haunted Five Nights at Prototype Fredbear's game, a cursed creation that ensnares unsuspecting players in its malevolent grasp.
The story begins innocently enough, with a gamer stumbling upon a seemingly forgotten gem: Five Nights at Prototype Fredbear's. Despite its outdated graphics and mechanics, there was something strangely compelling about the game, drawing players in like moths to a flame.
But as one brave soul delved deeper into the virtual nightmare, they soon discovered that there was more to the series than met the eye. Glitches and anomalies plagued their gameplay, turning what should have been a simple night shift into a harrowing ordeal.
Doors swung open and closed of their own accord, animatronics appeared where they shouldn't, and eerie whispers echoed through the corridors of the abandoned restaurant. It was as if the game itself was alive, feeding off the fear and uncertainty of its players.
But the true horror lay in the game's darkest secret: the presence of Shadow Fredbear, a malevolent entity that lurked in the shadows, waiting to claim its next victim. As the players struggled to survive each night, they could feel the cold grip of Shadow Fredbear tightening around their souls, threatening to drag them into the abyss.
And then, just when they thought they had escaped the clutches of the game, the horror followed them into the real world. Strange occurrences plagued their daily lives, with objects moving of their own accord and eerie whispers filling the air whenever they closed their eyes.
It soon became clear that they were not alone. Shadow Fredbear had crossed over into the real world, stalking its prey with relentless determination. And as the line between reality and nightmare blurred, the player found themselves trapped in a waking hell from which there seemed to be no escape.
To this day, the haunted Five Nights at Prototype Fredbear's game remains a cautionary tale for gamers everywhere. While the allure of the digital world may be strong, one must always remember that some games are best left unplayed. And the price of curiosity may be higher than anyone dares to imagine.
Do. Not. Make. Us. Angry.
This is how you can make me angry.
Snitching, do not get jumpscared by the shadows in the first and second games of FNaPF.
Do not and I mean NOT type in "DEBUG" on your keyboard in the main menu of the upcoming game, FNaPF 3.
If the game refuses to open for you, I have my reasons to not allow you to play it, might be because you know so much and/or I do not like you.
Related to number 2, I HATE hackers! Using code "BEATIT" in FNaPF 2's main menu will lead to consequences.
I just saw a theory that even makes some sense about what the outfit for night 4 of Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location is, and I decided to draw what I imagined to be the following outfit design. I will provide context as I go along.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This design, the theory said that as Baby mentions being an outfit from her old pizzeria or some previous pizzeria, it could be 2 Animatronics, Ella, the costume from the FNaFf movie, and Golden Freddy, or fredbear depending, as all his appearances are hallucinations, not having a real form, besides yenndo, being a supposed Golden Freddy without his costume, as we only see the endoskeleton, So I drew the possible design (which would probably be Fredbear's first design, possibly 1 prototype) which would be the costume for night 4, I hope you liked this design, as I think it could in fact be the outfit, as baby mentions that it was also never used to fulfill its purpose, the face is more of a prototype or primordial design of Fredbear, and considering that it is a springlock costume, it could also be a prototype of a springlock costume, which had the face of Fredbear, that may or may not have been used.
Anyway, thank you very much for reading my blog so far, may God bless you and see you (by the way, if you could take a note of this drawing of a possible design of Golden Freddy that I made).
I... wow. I didn't expect this to be so close! I was certain that one of them was going to win by a landslide, but then again each perspective is unique.
Thank you all for participating! I'm glad this reached so many people. And I bet some of you are going "it's only 30 people, geez woman calm down" (XD), but, from my perspective, this IS a lot of people!
And now I'm REALLY curious: if you're comfortable answering, why did you choose the one you chose? I can promise that I won't judge you, nor will I patronize you OR your opinion. I might ask questions or point something out, but it will be a respectful debate (if it even comes to that). I genuinely want to hear from your perspective.
There will be NO JUDGING ANYBODY HERE. We are going to be mature about this, okay? If someone does start acting stupid then I'll send a message asking them to cool it a little.
Thank you all again~! I don't know when but I'd love to make more polls and hear your guys' thoughts. Heck, if you didn't make it to the poll in time I'd still like to hear which choice you prefer!
Aaaand since it's around 10:40 PM where I am... goodnight everybody! (Falls face first onto the floor, snoring)
Just a thing I decided to make cuz I'm curious~. I'll be on vacation for the next 5 - 7 days, and I don't know how active I'll be during that time... sooo why not put this up for the meantime? XD
Just saying "the prototype" for spoiler reasons. But WHICH DO YOU PREFER!? Subtlety or scare factor? (I never thought there'd be a day when I'd call a Nightmare Animatronic "subtle", like wow XD)
What are Steel Wool Studios' ''upcoming plans''?
I wish with "upcoming plans", outside of FNaF VR Help Wanted 2, they are taking in consideration the idea of making a FNaF game about two old locations we never were able to actually visit and see in 3D: Fredbear Family Diner, FNaF 4's Pizzeria, and the Un-withered Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, the one where the original five missing children were game overed™ according to the books.
I know Scott said he doesn't want to go back in the timeline, but seeing how FFD got mentioned in two posters in Security Breach I don't think all hopes are lost.
What type of gameplay I would imagine for these two locations?
Considering it would still be making by Steel Wool Studios, the games would still be 3D and free roam.
Fredbear Family Diner
A more storytelling type of game were you are able to see how this location and robots came to be, with more insight about the springlocks suits and how maybe those were some sort of prototype for what he ended up creating with the Funtimes.
Un-withered Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria
Either a cop or a detective investigating about the missing children or someone who works there (Phone Guy?) and notice how the robots are starting to act weird after those children went missing.
I know both of these are really fanficty, but a zebra can dream.🥹
This is all for now, have a nice rest of your day/night and remember to stay hydrated!🦄🦓💖💫✨
Five Nights at Prototype Fredbears
I’ve been browsing for FNaF fangames on a website called Gamejolt. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a website where, as the website suggests, they have games and other stuff too, arranged by realms, communities, and posts.
A lot of the games on this website are action, horror, adventure, and, of course, fangame-based. However, a lot of people seem to tackle the FNaF-related ones.
I’m one of those people.
This is where I made the greatest mistake of my entire life. Instead of downloading the game I wanted on Gamejolt, I thought it was the smartest idea to download it on a different website. It was like Gamejolt, but odd.
What was the game I wanted to play? Well, there’s a specific FNaF fangame that nobody really pays attention to. The game is called Five Nights at Prototype Fredbear’s (which is also on Gamejolt); it’s like any other FNaF fangame; however, it has the style as if the game was created in 2014 or 2015. It’s oddly charming and makes me think of the good days of the series.
I hit the download button and started playing; the exe file automatically started downloading. I didn’t need to unzip a file or anything; the download automatically gave me the game without me doing anything. I opened the game, and it gave me a warning about it having flashing lights, jumpscares, and loud noises. I continued, and it took me straight to the menu. The static scared me pretty badly, but this allows me to see if the game works.
One thing I noticed is how Prototype Fredbear, the yellow bear for a split second, had his pupils missing, and I screenshotted it to see what was over his body; there were cracks on the front portions of the face and torso, and it was clear that it was updated at V.4.0, but for some reason, the color on the four didn’t match the 0 and the letter V.
Anyway, I pressed the new game button, and it took me to the newspaper, telling me that Fredbears had been built and it was hiring. So far, everything seemed to be working, and I also noticed something in the last paragraph of the newspaper: a black bear? Not unusual, as it’s probably referring to Shadow Fredbear as mentioned in the character section of the game's description.
My night was loaded, and I was brought into the office. While I was there, I instantly noticed a bug: the doors weren’t properly attached. While that detail didn’t matter, it seemed like the developer who created this game tried to fix it, but he wasn’t successful, or that the doors were intentionally made like that; nonetheless, the game worked fine, I checked the cameras and closed the doors as soon as the main animatronics reached my door.
As I was doing these things, I noticed the power going down, so I had to be careful. As I was checking the cameras, I noticed Bonnet sitting on Prototype Fredbear’s shoulder. I chuckled a bit, as that was a pretty cute detail, even for a game like this.
My joy was cut short as, when I came back to the camera again, Prototype Fredbear was looking directly at the camera with his pupils missing, exactly like the menu at the beginning of the game. I did nothing but stare into the bear’s eyes.
The night then ended, and I went to sleep, turning off the game. What happened in my dream was disturbing. I was giving food to my cat, which was normal at first, but when I checked the windows while I washed some dishes, I saw him, Prototype Fredbear, with those cracks and those empty eyes.
He was just staring at me in the eyes; there’s no doubt that this is some sort of hallucination or some guy pretending to be a furry by cosplaying as an animatronic.
I washed my face in the sink, and he was gone when I looked back. As I went outside, I noticed that the gate was open, swinging back and forth. I immediately ran inside and noticed my cat was missing. I noticed something that would make me cry and vomit in fear.
In my room, in front of my desktop, my cat was lying on the ground with a chunk of his body missing and bitten off. I got up and went on my phone to call the police, but there was no connection, even though I swear I remember having a good connection.
Losing hope and staring at my cat’s body, I backed up, and there was the yellow giant bear behind me. I noticed my kitchen knife in his hand, and when I tried to grab it from him, he struck me with the knife and slashed a wound on my waist.
Luckily, I woke up, and due to my curiosity, I had to finish this game.
I was playing and playing until I got a custom night unlocked. At first, my main goal was to look for the secret character, Shadow Fredbear; however, it’s not anymore, and I won’t try 20/20/20/20 mode as before I played this game, I watched a gameplay where Beemanz (a staff member for the game as of now and a good friend of the creator of this game) played this game and completed the mode; he certainly got a sweet ending though.
I won’t be getting that ending; I set everybody except for Prototype Fredbear to zero, and lord, if the game wasn't creepier than it was. Also, one thing I would like to point out is that this ending isn’t present in the real game, you know, the one on the Gamejolt page.
If I remember correctly, Lolbit, Bonnet, Springbonnie, and the other bear, Springfreddy, weren’t turned on, but in this case, they were turned on and started moving.
During this, the bathroom camera was turned on.
The odd part about this game is the animatronics appearing in places where they shouldn’t; while it didn’t seem out of the ordinary, it seemed odd. For example, if you played the actual game, you would normally see Springbonnie hanging or floating in the parts and service room, right? Instead, Prototype Fredbear is seen instead, and where is Springbonnie? He took Prototype Fredbear’s role, and Prototype Fredbear took Springbonnie’s role.
The camera began glitching out, and it showed some pretty questionable stuff; they were clearly taken from BestGore (the website that is now closed, luckily), and yeah, that’s pretty much the only detail I will go into without going into unnecessary detail; some of the violent images being shown were also looking as if they were in the game itself.
Something clearly changed.
I checked the bathroom camera, and there was something inside one of the stalls—a mutilated body of a person stuffed into the toilet. On the ground, there was, yes, as you guessed, blood mixed with feces and urine; the body was clearly photoshopped on the toilet; and the bathroom itself was clearly a stock photo and didn’t look anything like the rest of the game, as the main game is made with the source filmmaker, a movie-making software published by Valve (you know, the company that made pretty good games like Half-Life, Team Fortress, Garry’s Mod, and Left 4 Dead).
I mean, yeah, sure, the other cameras still looked like the same style that the creator made them, but the animatronic poses were replaced with a different character and were clearly slapped on top of the original animatronics in Photoshop.
The audio in the background was devouring the original ambiance, which is taken directly from Five Nights at Wario’s 3, the audio was branches and leaves being crushed and sounds of grass being stepped on; the sound got closer and closer.
The audio cut off, and the audio went back to the original ambiance. I wanted the night to end, so I waited for the animatronics to attack me. For some reason, the AI got pretty broken, and the animatronics refused to attack; all they were doing was staring at the cameras, taunting me.
I flipped down the camera, and I finally encountered Shadow Fredbear, the secret antagonist.
Shadow Fredbear sat next to the door in the pose of Golden Freddy and killed me; however, there was an extended version of the scream; it was like Shadow Fredbear’s regular scream in the original game, but the screaming got louder and louder, and there were sounds of footsteps; the footsteps sounded like they were in my house, but when I looked behind me, there was nothing there.
It didn’t only take me to the game over screen, but it also played two clips related to the main antagonist of the game, The first one was a yellowish grizzly bear; the clip was playing over and over, and the bear was getting his head cut off over and over.
The next clip was also a yellowish bear getting grinded up, and it ended with a screenshot that never appeared in the game; it was a photo of Prototype Fredbear, Lolbit, Bonnet, and Springbonnie staring into the camera. Prototype Fredbear and Springbonnie both had no pupils, and Lolbit’s pupils were missing; however, Bonnet seemed normal.
The screen immediately cuts back to the main menu, and it froze and crashed. Now, after I turned off this game, I was processing and trying to figure out the theory of what happened here.
After the creator, Joseph, made the game, somebody downloaded the regular game, broke into the MFA file, and started editing the source code, mixing up the AI, and finding videos from BestGore (which might’ve been taken from other gore sites) to sneak into the game. Maybe there’s a chance that the hacker is responsible for the murders; the person might’ve taken photos of the murders and snuck them into the game.
I uninstalled the game, and the nightmares haven’t occurred since.
